Every long journey starts somewhere. For The Carpathian Cowboy, that somewhere is Transylvania.

Romania provided the language, traditions, humour, faith and values that would travel with Adrian long after he left.

The Carpathians became more than mountains on a map. They represent home — the place against which every other place would eventually be measured.

You can cross an ocean. You can build another life. But some landscapes never really leave you.

Engineering came first. Then business. Then entrepreneurship. Then the inevitable combination of successes, mistakes, opportunities and unexpected turns that comes with building things for yourself.

There were ventures in technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, property and business development.

Some worked. Some didn't. All of them left a story.

The destination kept changing, but one characteristic remained constant: curiosity about what might be around the next corner.

Canada became another chapter and eventually another home.

Immigration teaches a particular kind of resilience. You arrive carrying experience from one world while learning the rules of another. You rebuild networks. You rebuild businesses. Sometimes you rebuild yourself.

Over time, Romania and Canada stopped being competing definitions of home. They became two parts of the same identity.

One looked toward the Carpathians. The other toward the Rockies. The distance between them became the territory of The Carpathian Cowboy.

Western Canada introduced a different landscape. Big skies. Long roads. Mountains disappearing into the horizon. And a culture built around independence, resilience and the freedom to make your own way.

Somewhere along those roads, the cowboy hat stopped being simply something Adrian wore. It became part of the story.

The cowboy represents independence more than geography — the willingness to keep moving, start again and choose your own road.

A Transylvanian cowboy might sound like a contradiction. That's precisely why it works.

Sixty invites you to look backward. The Carpathian Cowboy prefers looking forward.

There are still businesses to build. Places to visit. People to meet. Stories to tell. And apparently, songs to sing.

The first songs grew from memories of travel, friendship, faith, success, failure and the strange realization that reaching sixty doesn't necessarily make someone feel finished. Quite the opposite.

The past provides the material. The future provides the reason.
